sam + alfie
all hands on deck…
This one was a special one. Sam and I met in 3 year old kindergarten. While I can’t remember exactly how the first meeting took place, I imagine I looked across the room, locked eyes with her, and decided we were going to be best friends for life, whether she liked it or not. 30-ish laters, she still hasn’t gotten rid of me and she’s marrying the love of her life, Alfie at Coriole Vineyard in McLaren Vale, South Australia.
80 of her nearest and dearest descended on this tiny winery region for their three day love fest. Welcome drinks on the Thursday (boozy). Wedding on Friday (boozier). Wedding recovery to out-do any wedding recover on Saturday (the booziest!)
I had the absolute privilege of being asked to be her Celebrant, MC and bridesmaid. Her sister, Jacqui, serenaded her as she walked down the aisle. Her guests performed a flash mob sing along to Under the Sea - Little Mermaid (homage to Alfie being a sea captain and her love for all things Disney). It was a 20/10 day. I would do it again, and again, and again (probably minus hangover on Sunday though…)

Liz. Wow, just wow.
How lucky I am to have my oldest best friend, as my Celebrant, MC, quasi bridesmaid and recovery chef!
Rewind the clock when we use to dress up, put on concerts for our parents in our early years, fast forward to today, never did I think that talent would be our next stage together. That you would be by my side, creating the most amazing heartfelt wedding for me and my hubby!
Liz arranged a surprise under the sea rendition from The Little Mermaid! Liz printed out the words for all to sing along to accompanied by blue ribbons to wave in the air, and had the musicians learn the song to live out my broadway dream!
You have bought the role of a celebrant to another next level! Your attention to detail, passion, and enthusiasm that goes into your work is extraordinary.
What sets Liz apart, is the detail and thought with the special touches, including a tutorial on how to toss the rose petals, a surprise sing along, and a selfie moment for all to take a photo using their phones before they were put away (made for great pictures!) along with a fabulous party change to MC the night.
From the bottom of mine and my husbands hearts, thank you, thank you for making our night the most magical, theatrical night with a touch of sparkle!
Also big shout out you and Daniel (Liz’s soon to be husband) for taking over the next day recovery industrial kitchen and cooking a feast for a lock in.
What a fabulous weekend! Can we please do it all again ✨✨✨
